The Legends Ball will feature Professional and Pro-Am shows, dance demonstrations, and a diverse range of talented performers, including children and singers sure to entertain the audience and viewers.
The Challenge
Broadcasting from a world-class venue like the Rosewood Hong Kong presents a unique set of obstacles. While the ambiance is elegant, the shared public broadband infrastructure is a significant liability for a high-stakes live production. The network, already stretched thin catering to hundreds of guests, becomes an unpredictable variable, prone to latency and bandwidth fluctuations that could easily disrupt a stream. For The Legends Ball, this inherent challenge was magnified by a critical geographical constraint: the hotel’s broadband lacked sufficient overseas bandwidth for the primary viewing destination in London, UK. This combination of a congested local network and an inadequate international data pathway created a high-risk scenario. Any pixelation, buffering, or dropped connection would have severely diminished the experience for the remote audience and undermined the elite stature of the event and its world-champion hosts.
The Solution
To guarantee a flawless broadcast, LiveMakerPro implemented a sophisticated solution centered on the LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT™) protocol. This powerful technology allowed us to completely bypass the hotel’s unreliable broadband, instead creating a dedicated, professional-grade transmission network using bonded cellular connections. The LRT™ protocol was the key differentiator, employing a suite of advanced resiliency techniques—including Packet Ordering, Acknowledge & Resend, Dynamic Forward Error Corrections, and Adaptive Bitrate Encoding—simultaneously. This multi-layered approach ensured that our video feed maintained exceptional reliability and consistent picture quality, even in the face of cellular network challenges. By aggregating multiple cellular signals, we built a robust, high-bandwidth “video pipeline” with built-in redundancy and seamless error correction. This provided the stable and robust overseas bandwidth required for a pristine, low-latency stream directly to London, capturing the dynamism of the professional and Pro-Am shows, the grace of the dance demonstrations, and the energy of all performers without a single compromise.
