Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) held its Annual General Meeting as a critical hybrid event. To ensure maximum shareholder participation, the meeting combined a physical gathering at the HKEX Connect Hall with a sophisticated online participation platform, allowing shareholders to vote and engage with the board in real-time.
The Challenge
The primary challenge for an AGM of this scale is regulatory security and absolute signal stability. The broadcast must handle frame-accurate synchronization between the physical venue and the remote voting platform to ensure every shareholder has an equal opportunity to participate. Additionally, because the event involves sensitive financial disclosures and director elections, the stream requires high-level encryption and a fail-safe backup system to prevent any interruption during the legal proceedings.
The Solution
LiveMakerPro deployed a broadcast-grade multi-language distribution architecture:
Redundant Signal Hub: We received the master video and multiple SI audio feeds at our central office hub, which was configured with full network redundancy to ensure a stable distribution point.
LRT™ Multi-Track Encoding: Utilizing the LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT™) protocol, we embedded the distinct audio tracks into our high-bandwidth master stream, ensuring no audio-to-video drift as the signals traveled from the venue to the distribution hub.
Stream Splitting & Delivery: At our hub, we de-muxed the embedded audio tracks to create dedicated, independent streams for each language. This allowed the shareholder platform to offer distinct audio options to viewers, providing localized content for a global stakeholder audience without technical compromise.
